On July 20, Fortune magazine announced list of its Global 500 for 2017. Sinochem Group ranked 143rd with its USD59.533 billion operation revenue. As one of China’s earliest entrant on the list, Sinochem Group has seen its 27th time of entry into the Global 500.
Of the new Global 500, 115 were Chinese enterprises, among which Sinochem Group ranked 34th. In addition, of the 48 central enterprises on the list, Sinochem Group came in 19th. Fortune Global 500 gives its ranking on the basis of the enterprise’s revenue of last year.
Under Sinochem Group’s new leadership, 2016 saw a steady rise in its operation revenue, amounting to CNY395.5 billion, a 3.9% year-on-year growth. Total profit achieved restorative growth, seeing CNY8.07 billion, a 34% year-on-year growth. Operating cash flow reached the best level over the last three years. Sinochem Group was rated A in the annual KPI appraisal conducted by the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. That was also the 12th time that Sinochem Group was rated A since inception of the appraisal.
