Lately, the Carbon Neutral Specialized Committee of China Petroleum Society held its inaugural meeting and first seminar in Beijing.
Sinochem Holdings, CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, PipeChina and other central SOEs in the energy industry, as well as research institutions such as Institute of Energy of Peking University and China University of Petroleum, jointly initiated the Carbon Neutrality Professional Committee of Chinese Petroleum Society. At the meeting, Sinochem Energy presented a keynote report on “Global Carbon Market and Carbon Asset Operation and Management”, sharing the latest trends in the carbon market as well as professional and international experience in carbon asset operation and management, exploring feasible pathways for the green and low-carbon transformation of the petroleum and petrochemical industry.
