On January 12, 2015, Liu Deshu, Chairman of the Board of Sinochem Group met with Nobuyuki Hirano, President of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. (BTMU), and his entourage in Beijing. Both sides looked back on how their cooperation had been going in such areas as chemical industry and finance and exchanged views on the topics of international economic situation, the prospect of economic development in China and Japan, and trend in the international energy market. Chief Accountant Yang Lin of Sinochem Group also attended the meeting.
Mr. Nobuyuki Hirano expressed the hope during the meeting that both sides would strengthen cooperation in such areas as international mergers acquisitions financing and projects financing. Expressing his deep appreciation of MUFG's continued support for Sinochem Group in recent years, Mr. Liu Deshu said that, as a group dedicated to serving the entire industry by diversifying into a select few areas of business; Sinochem Group will continue to maintain its close cooperation with the community of financial institutions in the future.
