On the eve of Sinochem’s 60th anniversary, the Safety Assessment Center of Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, a subsidiary of Sinochem, became one of the six “Pesticide GLP labs” certified by Ministry of Agriculture, ranking the 1st among all the six labs. This is another significant step made by the Safety Assessment Center in building the GLP system after it was ratified by Ministry of Health to become the “Pharmaceutical GLP Lab”. It is conducive to facilitating China to join the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of OECD Principles of GLP, and significant to help China’s GLP data to be recognized by international organizations like OECD.
GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is a system of management control for labs and research organizations on the process of experiment designing, implementation, testing, recording, and pigeonholing. The system is aimed at controlling all steps in chemicals’ safety assessment and testing to ensure its testing result.
