An awarding ceremony of “China Reform and Opening Up Forum”, sponsored by China Society of Economic Reform took place in Beijing on November 30th. Liu Deshu, President and CEO, Sinochem Corporation was named to the 30 Economic People in the 30 Years of Reform and Opening Up, together with other national celebrities including Zhang Ruimin, Li Yining, Wu Jinglian, Zhou Xiaochuan, Dai Xianglong and Ma Yun.
Chen Changzhi, Vice Chairman of NPC Standing Committee, Li Jinhua, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and Li Wuwei, Vice Chairman of CPPCC attended the awarding ceremony. Mr. Chen presented the awards to President Liu Deshu and other recipients.
The forum started in April and mobilized the official, industrial, academic and media resources as well as the general public to finalize the list after a number of rounds of voting.
According to Yuan Xucheng, Executive Director of the Forum organizing committee, the award winners are the embodiment of the core value— “Reform, Innovation, Progress and Perseverance”, the embodiment of the impressive achievements China has made in various industries and areas since the reform and opening up, the embodiment of a great era and motivations for us to firmly advance and deepen the reform.
