Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry Ranked First in the Number of National Standards Formulation

On May 29, the Big Data Report for Standards (hereinafter referred to as the Report) was released at the “Second Big Data Service Development for Standards Seminar” sponsored by the China National Institute of Standardization. Meanwhile, the List of TOP 15 “National Standards Developed in the Industry” (hereinafter referred to as the List) were released as well and the Sinochem Group affiliated Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry ranked first.

In addition to Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, other enterprises and research institutes such as Huawei, ZTE, Guilin Electrical Equipment Scientific Research Institute Co., Ltd., China Telecom, Shanghai Electrical Apparatus Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., and China Mobile were also on the List.

As a unit affiliated to the National Technical Committee 133 on Pesticide and the National Technical Committee 134 on Dyestuff of Standardization Administration of China, Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry has the first OECD GLP-qualified pesticide inspection laboratory in China, and the dyestuff inspection laboratory approved by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). For many years, it has been responsible for organizing and participating in the formulation of national and industrial standards for sectors such as pesticides and dyestuff. From 2001 to 2016, the Institute drafted 147 national standards and 117 industrial standards for pesticides, 294 national standards and 487 industrial standards for dyestuff. Among them, the two new pesticides of FAO standards - pyraoxystrobin and suspension agent, independently developed by Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry in 2016, set a precedent for China to ever formulate international standards for pesticide products. The FAO standard become a technical guarantee and code of conduct for pyraoxystrobin to trade internationally.
