Bluestar Silicones’ key production site in Saint-Fons, France becomes first ISCC PLUS-certified silicone plant in Europe

Bluestar Silicones has recently obtained ISCC PLUS certification for its key production site in Saint-Fons, France, becoming the first silicone production facility to be certified under the ISCC PLUS scheme.

ISCC PLUS is a voluntary, industry-wide certification for non-regulated markets, covering the bioeconomy and circular economy, including bio-based materials and renewable and recycled raw materials. Under the ISCC PLUS mass balance approach, the Saint-Fons plant can allocate the green attributes of recycled raw materials to finished products, enabling their circular attributes to be verified and traced. Meanwhile, customers can use certified recycled raw materials without changing product formulations, performance or specifications, helping them meet regulatory requirements for certified materials.

Next, the company will gradually bring more plants into the ISCC PLUS certification system based on customer needs and market trends, continuously expanding its portfolio of circular products.
