We will consolidate internal and external resources according to principles of open, fusion, collaboration and sharing, to build a leading and inclusive innovation platform. We will establish flexible and efficient management mechanism for innovation. We will build high-caliber talent team for innovation.

Sinochem Group, a group company valuing technological innovation as the cornerstone of its core competitiveness and sustainability, has stepped up efforts to accelerate technological development, and corporate strategy transition based on technical progress. In addition to establishing a multilayer technical innovation system and two-stage technological management system, the group company also has drawn up a science and technology development plan, carried out sci-tech investment plan and incentive scheme to enhance its management for technology talent team and constantly promoted the technical upgrade of related business. In recent years, Sinochem Group has, under the solid support of relevant ministries and commissions, been successively rated as “National Innovative Enterprise”, “National Overseas High-level Talents Innovation Based Start-up Companies”, “National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise”, “Key Unit of Central Enterprise Technological Innovation for Strategy Implementation” and has been proposed as a paragon for technical innovation for many times by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

Sinochem Group has implemented its innovation-driven strategy in an effort to facilitate corporate transformation with scientific and technological progress. Relative strong research capability has been established in agrochemicals, fluorine chemical, dyestuff and pigment, etc. We have two specialized research organizations: Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry and Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry. In recent years, Sinochem Group has been awarded the titles like “National Innovative Enterprises”, “National Receiving Station for Overseas Talents”, and one of the first national-level IPR model companies. The project of “catalytic synthesis technology and industrialization of environment-friendly five-element fluoride material” won 2017 National Technological Innovation Award which marks the first time in nearly a decade that Sinochem Group has made appearance in the state's highest level of science and technology awards.

While keeping upgrade its technological innovation capability, the group company also has taken the lead to establish or co-establish technical innovation strategic alliance covering its major business fields like crop seed industry, pesticide, dye, kalium resource utilization, corn, fluorine chemical industry, so as to jointly push up industrial upgrade and technical progress of related industries together with other industry players. What’s more, the group company also works with research institutions at home and abroad like University of Leeds, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agriculture University, China University of Petroleum, Zhejiang University, Sichuan University, Huazhong Agricultural University to conduct technical collaboration programs for multiple fields.

For its major business, the group company has been building a vibrant scientific innovation team with team members increasing every year. At present, there are more than 2500 sci-tech personnel and around 1500 researchers in the group company, more than 50% researchers are middle ranking and senior researchers, of which, there are one double hired academician.

Sinochem holds 1124 invention patents, 244 patents in United States, Japan and Europe Union; 1 Chinese Patent Golden Award and 14 China Excellent Patent Award. Sinochem has formulated 2 international standards of FAO, 422 effective national standards and 558 industry standards.
